I never realized how much stuff there actually is to do in Michigan until i watch shows like yours to find out about these places.  Loved the show!

Jennifer Ridner - Monroe, MI

Very informative!  Had no idea that Houghton Lake had so much to offer.  Looking forward to going there this summer, thanks to your show!

Douglas Brown - Ferndale, MI

I thought it was very good. It showed alot of things to do in the area of Houghton lake. Houghton Lake is becoming very commercialized and touristy, the show featured things that are not this.

Always enjoy your programs.  They're beautifully produced and really show how Michigan is the most beautiful state.  We look forward to your program every week.

Richard Maples - Geneva, NY

I caught the last 20 mins of the show and loved it. Brought back lots of visual memory of my own trip to the Georgian Bay area(20 yrs ago). I found the area while camping around without any prior knowledge of the area other than a big blue body of water on the map. The show got my family hooked and we will plan a trip hopefully this summer.

Loved it! Have been looking for a place I had not been yet in Michigan. I have travelled many places and keep coming back to Michigan. If it were not for my job I would live in Michigan instead of visiting all the time. Thanks for your show.

My Husband and I really enjoyed your show and we would like free information regarding East Tawas Harbor Park and the bike pathways. We would like to take a trip up this summer sometime and check it out. I have a sister who lives near Tawas in Hale, MIchigan. This sounds like a beautiful place to visit. Also, can you please send us hotels in the area where we can stay. Thanks so much for your help.

This show was great. We saw this program a couple of months or so ago. I really enjoyed it. I've been traveling all over Schoolcraft County for years. We usually rent a cabin at Gerometas Resort for a week usually every other year. They are about 1/8 mile south of the Big Springs on M-149. Indian Lake is a good fishing lake and we always enjoy it. Always catch fish. But beware. The lake is shallow and when a storm comes up, you better be off the lake or you'll be doing alot of bailing. They tell me that the deepest part of the lake is only 14 feet. Will be using this disc for Michigan History class.

I enjoyed this weeks show.  I didn't realize that the West Branch area has a lot of the outdoor features that the northern region of MI offers.  The Rifle River looks like it offers a great canoe/kayak trips too.

Great, I got married on  the old raft at Big Springs, honeymooned at Cowell Lake and spent a week cruising the U.P. back in 1981. The show brought back a lot of memories. Enjoyed the show.

JR Lomerson - Attica, MI

This week you aired the "Top of the Lakes Circle Tour", unfortunately, we missed the original airing of this episode, but are so glad we were able to see it this time. The UP is an area we would like to see again, since it has been quite a number of years since we were up there. Your show is able to give us a quick, yet concise look at the attractions we would like to see when we get up there. Thanks again for a wonderful show and we hope there are many more to come.

Very interesting, I would like to visit this area.  Instead of the DVD I wish there was a paper itinerary or map of these points of interest.

Hi Kaye,
We tried to include as much information as possible in the online travel planner for this episode on our website. Hopefully you can find what you are looking for there. Thanks for watching, Bryan McGuire - Great Getaways Online

Totally awesome! Every time I watch this show I find out about more places to go. There were trails I would like to go on and more lighthouses to see. We have explored some of Fayette, Garden, Thompson's Fish Hatchery, and did some of the boardwalk along the lake. After watching the show, we missed a lot also. Excellent show.

I loved it - waterfalls were beautiful.  Love to take trips that aren't too far away from home.  We have been to Ontario many times and it's always nice to find a new location to visit.

Mark  Brady - Upper Sandusky, OH

I was only able to catch the last few minutes of the show but it looked like a tremendous place to plan a family vacation around. I have always wanted to do something like this (Grey County Treetops Walk) since I saw the movie "Medicine Man" with Sean Connery years ago. Thanks for showing options that are above the ordinary for places to go and things to do. If there is a DVD of this available I would like to know how to acquire it. Thanks for such a wonderful production and keep up the good work.
Saturday, April 24, 2010 1:25 PM
Don Hunter - Northville, MI

It was great. I will have to talk my girlfriend into going there (Grey County) . We did go to Tobermoray in the past. It's not that far from the Detroit area.
We can't walk as much as we used to, but we can still enjoy all the scenery.
Saturday, April 24, 2010 12:50 PM
Jean Gilchrist - Wainwright, AB

My husband "immigrated" to Western Canada from the Owen Sound area in 1952.  We have been back there many, many times but when we go again in June 2010 we will see some of these beauty spots.  How could we have missed them all these years?  We just drove right by, so very near these wonderful "FALLS." When he was a kid in this area all the family knew was work, work, work. Thank you so much for whetting our appetites & we'll look forward to receiving the "Waterfall Tour Guide" and this next trip will be even more memorable.

It was great and makes me want to go to the cottage at Sauble Beach right now and not have to wait till July!!! We've been to some of the falls but would like the guide so this year we can check out Indian Falls. It will be nice to leave the guide at the cottage for everyone to see and reference.

It looked like a beautiful area to visit.  The trails sounded like they were easy trails which is what we are looking for.
Sunday, April 25, 2010 11:34 AM
Tom Bowen - Vicksburg, MI

First time viewer. WOW! The show seemed so professional. And very informative. They tended to answer the questions that popped into my mind, just as i began to think them. I guess it's those small details that made the show more than just a slide-show. Keep up the great work, it's things like this that make my PBS/NPR dollars seem worth the giving. Thank you
Monday, April 26, 2010 8:48 AM
Mary French - Union Lake, MI

Wonderful!  It is exactly what I am looking for, to go to waterfalls and enjoy Ontario hiking.  Love Tom O'Boyle too!
