The Tawas area looks like a great place to visit. Nice water views and activities. The downtown area also looks cool. I have been to the west side of the state quite a few times but not so much the east side. Thanks to Great Getaways I'm looking forward to seeing the sunrise side. Great show, thank you |

Some great new ideas for a place I haven't visited in a long time. The shops in town and the biking trail to Tawas Pointe look like a great getaway. Throw in a lighthouse and you have my attention. |

This week's show was very interesting. It is an area that we have spent a lot of time visiting with friends, but were not aware of most of the places you mentioned. We are as a family looking foward to going back up there and taking advantage of the hikes that were highlighted. Thanks for making us aware of some great places we were missing. |

I just wanted to say that I think your show Great Getaways is wonderful! I'm so happy that you're highlighting the beautiful places on Michigan's Sunrise Side! Alcona, Oscoda, and Iosco counties have been a part of my family's life for a very long time, and I consider the region to be my 'home away from home', our cabin is near Glennie.
Thank you for putting this program on television, I look forward to your next show! |

My husband and I watched the show on Manistique and wanted to go instantly!! Of course it takes a little more planning than that, so we would love to have a dvd as a guide to all the great places you were able to tell us about. Thank you very much! |

I thought that it was very interesting to see some of the things to do around Manistique. My wife and I were there this last week and it would have been nice to have known some of the places to see. We did go to Big Springs and it is a beautiful place too see! |

Tom;
Today is the first time I watched your show and oh did I love it. Due to a spinal injury and my daughter having cerebral palsy, we can't do the trails any longer, but the way you describe each and every detail, made us feel we were right there with you. We both got tremendous enjoyment from todays segment and will continue to "travel" along with you.
Sincerely,
Diana & Cheryl |

Fantastic! I've hunted and fished in the U.P. over the past 50 years, and was most excited about today's show. We normally would drive past Manistique on our way to one of the counties to the West or North. We have taken a ride in to see the light house - but never to tour the immediate area. We have done a lot of hunting and fishing in the Grand Marais area.
We're going to be in the Manistique area on Sept. 12/13; so the program was very timely. |

We loved it. We love to hike with our dogs,canoe,and camp, especially in Michigan's UP. My aunt lived there for years and I have visited many places up there, but my husband hasn't and I would like to take him to some of these great getaways!! We have camped in Picture
Rocks after the summer crowd has gone home and love it there with all the waterfalls, etc. I don't know if you have a done a segment on that yet or not. |

Absolutely awesome! The Big Spring is my favorite attraction in the U.P. Most people I talk to have never been there. The words "absolutely beautiful" came thru over and over. Thank you for such a good show! |
