The Schoolcraft County Motorized Trails Association maintain the trail system in their sector of the Central Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The SCMTA strives to provide a medium for exchange of snowmobile and ORV information and to be the catalyst between government entities, businesses and snowmobilers and ORV enthusiasts. The SCMTA grooms and maintains 149 miles of designated winter trails for snowmobilers and 32 miles of designated trails for ORV/ATV enthusiasts in Michigan’s beautiful Central Upper Peninsula.

Little Bear West Arena is a multi-purpose facility located at 180 N Maple Street. Little Bear West Arena is mainly an ice arena. It is used for ice hockey and open ice skating for all ages. In the off season the arena is used for a variety of City events, and is available to rent for events. They offer a variety of events throughout the year, including hockey games, ice skating, wedding receptions, and more. The arena hosts the Manistique Varsity Hockey Team as well as youth hockey tournaments, open skate and rink rentals.
