Chi-Cheemaun Ferry
Chi-Cheemaun
Ferry is the largest passenger/car vessel on the Great Lakes and has been
safely transporting visitors between Manitoulin Island and the Bruce Peninsula
for more than 30 years. Known as "the Big Canoe" in native Ojibwa,
the modern Chi-Cheemaun makes a perfect day trip and reduces the hours
of road travel around Georgian Bay. Passengers are provided with a relaxing
and leisurely two-hour journey that offers spectacular views of several
small islands and lighthouses along the way. Choose the magnificent viewpoint
of the expansive open sun deck, or ride in the comfort of the enclosed
lounge area. Light meals, snacks and refreshments are available, as are
unique souvenirs. Parks Canada experts are on board to highlight what
this wonderful region has to offer. Young and old alike will find a cruise
aboard the Chi-Cheemaun a memorable and enjoyable experience.
